(Peru, exclusive Yogonet.com).- October 1st was the date set for the Peruvian gambling venues to start with the implementation of the Unified Control System in Real Time (SUCTR). However, it was recently confirmed that the General Direction of Casinos and Slots (DGJCMT) of MINCETUR extended the deadline until July 1st 2012.

“This General Direction has promoted the promulgation of the Supreme Decree 012-2011, which extends the deadline to July 1st, 2012, considering that, up to date, we only have two homologated systems, which are insufficient to be able to attend the demand until October 1st, 2011,” explained Manuel San Roman Benavente, DGJCMT General Director.

Besides, the Supreme Decree allows the online application, which was demanded as an obligation for SUCTR models, to be installed in gambling venues to be optional.

“I reiterate what I have always expressed: regulation cannot be performed without considering reality. It shows MINCETUR reasonability with regards to regulation and the obligations that, by law, must be complied in the gambling sector”, pointed the officer.
