Sayed-Khaiyum also said there is some consideration that needs to take place. The Government needs people with vast experience in the casino business to set up in Fiji says Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.

He says the concept is very new to Fiji – and only the best and highest quality service should be considered for any casino venture in the country.

"We want to attract obviously good players or player into the market. We need people with proven track record to be able to come into Fiji to operate a casino. We don’t want someone who has never run a casino to run the casino," said Sayed-Khaiyum.

Sayed-Khaiyum says they have to consider other issues that any developer should meet before any licenses are issued.
