Burke returns as Rank Group CEO
(UK).- Ian Burke, who resigned from his position as CEO of Rank Group last week, has rejoined the company's board in the same role and with the additional title of chair.

It comes as the owner of the Mecca Bingo and Grosvenor Casino brands decided that it will no longer recommend that shareholders accept a takeover offer from Guoco Group.
On 30 June, Guoco announced that its offer would remain open until 15 July with a further seven-day extension possible. Rank has now told shareholders to reject the proposal.
Shareholders who have already accepted the offer between 17 June and 1 July have been recommended to submit indications of withdrawals by 15 July.
