Most Sun International casinos in Africa will use Bally’s state-of-the-art CMP distributed architecture to allow patrons a single-card environment across multiple properties. CMP provides player-tracking and bonusing solutions. This player-tracking system allows casinos of all sizes to gather, track, and report mission-critical player data.

“We went through an extensive evaluation process spanning more than nine months, in which we looked at seven different system providers,” said David Coutts-Trotter, Sun International’s CEO. “Bally offers the most robust and secure solutions for our extensive multi-casino enterprise and provides a host of bonusing solutions to truly enhance the player experience at the game and provide patrons with a new generation of bonusing abilities.”

Installation of the Bally systems and server-based solutions is scheduled to begin in mid-calendar 2012 with all Bally solutions slated to be live at all 17 casinos by the late in calendar 2013.

“We are thrilled to form this technology partnership with such a prestigious gaming company,” said Richard Haddrill, Bally Technologies’ CEO. “We appreciate Sun International’s confidence in our systems products and future direction. We look forward to further international growth.”

Bally Technologies will provide an array of innovative systems products and solutions to the company’s casinos in the Republic of South Africa, Nigeria, Namibia, Lesotho, Botswana, and Chile.

Bally’s iVIEW and iVIEW DM in-game player-user-interface display will allow Sun International operators to choose where on the game they want to display aspects such as player name, session points, jackpots, promotional credits, casino and hotel specials and promotions, as well as enable patron self-service such as beverage ordering at the game. iVIEW DM also enables powerful floor-wide promotions, tournaments, and virtual-racing events, enhancing the player experience and adding excitement to game play.

Bally will provide Sun International the latest version of SDS Windows, which provides casinos of all sizes with a competitive and scalable slot-management system utilizing a modern architecture; delivers flexibility, easy maintainability, horizontal and vertical scalability for any size of casino operation; and provides advanced reporting for all legacy and new games including multi-game, multi-denom, bonusing, and cashless.

“Sun International has selected an outstanding portfolio of solutions that will not only streamline and increase efficiencies, but deliver Bally systems’ trailblazing promotional capabilities at the point of play,” said Ramesh Srinivasan, Bally Technologies’ President and COO. “This partnership is a result of our commitment to aligning world-class back-of-the-house management systems with groundbreaking bonusing and customer-service solutions.”

Sun International will utilize a host of Bally solutions throughout their operations, including Bally’s TableView real-time table rating and player-tracking solution. Tightly integrated with CMP, the touch-screen-based table-game management solution enables paperless processing of patron ratings, player comps, markers, table game operations, and extensive on-line reporting of table-game action.

“In addition to its impressive array of products, Bally’s level of commitment to systems and most importantly, the people who worked with us for more than 12 months as part of this process, were significant reasons to partner with Bally,” said Des Whitcher, Sun International’s Director of Gaming Development.

iVIEW DM Tournaments will be available at many Sun International properties. The iVIEW DM player-user-interface with Elite Bonusing Suite, enables floor-wide slot tournaments at each gaming machine on the casino floor – without interrupting game play. Sun International will also use Bally’s on-demand beverage-ordering solution with their iVIEW-equipped games to provide casino patrons with self-service ordering of drinks without having to leave their favorite game.

Additionally, Bally will provide a host of other proven systems solutions for slot-accounting management, promotions, advanced reporting, customer service, and more. Among the other innovative Bally systems solutions in Sun International casinos will be U-Spin Bonusing, Bally Enterprise Progressive System, Power Bonusing, Dynamic Random Bonusing, and Flex Rewards.

“This huge array of systems solutions demonstrates Bally’s commitment to the African and South American markets with cutting-edge capabilities tailored for the patrons and casinos in these specific countries,” said Murali Ganesan, Bally Technologies’ Director of Sales. “Bally’s dynamic and robust suite of systems solutions will provide Sun International casinos across the world with a sound, well-architected, and dependable technology platform enabling them to generate an incredible level of excitement and energy on their casino floors.”
