At eleven months into the current fiscal year, the Ohio Lottery’s transfer to the Lottery Profits Education Fund (LPEF) is us$ 25.6 million higher than budgeted. Cumulative fiscal year sales through May are up us$ 105 million or 4.6 % higher than last fiscal year.

Under the new extension, Intralot will continue to supply existing equipment and services to the Ohio Lottery while adding additional vending machines and innovative point-of-sale advertising displays to further drive transfers to the LPEF. The new vending machines will be supplied from the firm’s manufacturing facility in Mason, Ohio that has now assumed production responsibility for all of Intralot’s domestic and international vending equipment requirements. Intralot has made an important investment in the State of Ohio, while it employs over 200 people in manufacturing, assembly and service jobs statewide in its facilities in Mason and Strongsville.

Interim Lottery Director, Dennis Berg stated “We are very pleased with Intralot’s deployment of state-of-the-art gaming equipment in Ohio over the past biennium.  We look forward to our continued partnership and believe the contract represents excellent value for the State of Ohio.”

Intralot USA President and CEO, Tom Little, was delighted with the decision of the Controlling Board. “The unanimous decision by the Controlling Board to award the extension to Intralot further reinforces our proven performance partnership with the Ohio Lottery to maximize the benefit to education within the State.  We look forward to continued support of the Lottery through the application of advanced technologies, innovative new games, and further strengthening of an already great partnership.”

Little also stated “Our Mason, Ohio facility further exemplifies our commitment to the State of Ohio by providing much needed technology manufacturing jobs within the State. Many of the component suppliers for the machines we build are local Ohio-based companies, supplying additional personnel employment.”
