Former Sands China CEO defamation claim against Sheldon Adelson dismissed
(US / China).- A Nevada judge has dismissed the defamation claim filed by former Sands China Chief Executive Officer Steven Jacobs against parent company Las Vegas Sands and its Chairman and CEO Sheldon Adelson.

The claim was included in the lawsuit filed earlier in a Nevada court by Mr Jacobs, in which he alleges he was wrongfully fired from Sands China.
The judge considered that Mr Adelson was protected by the litigation privilege when he told the Wall Street Journal that Mr Jacobs allegations included in the dismissal lawsuit were “outright lies and fabrications which seem to have their origins in delusion.”
Mr Jacobs’ lawyers have already announced they will appeal the decision, according to media reports
