European Lotteries Association gathers European major gaming concessionaires

Marco Sala elected as a member of the European Lotteries’ Executive Committee

(Italy).- Lottomatica Group CEO, Marco Sala, has been elected as a member of the European Lotteries’ Executive Committee, the international Association that is comprised of the State concessionaires in the European public gaming sector.

The Executive Committee is the governing body responsible for establishing the Association's policy and strategic aims. The election took place during the General Assembly of European Lotteries held yesterday in Helsinki, Finland.

Headquarters for the European Lotteries Association is based in Lausanne, Switzerland, with a representative office for European Community Affairs in Brussels, Belgium. Members include 76 delegates from all European countries and a number of representatives from other continents. 

The Association's main objectives are to seek agreement on and promotion of interests and initiatives focusing on growth of the gaming sector at the continental level. In addition, the Association serves to further cooperation between operators with the aim of adopting standards of ethics and conduct, including the certification of concessionaires who distinguish themselves in the field of responsible gaming policies.
