Under the agreement, it will provide Norsk Tipping with high-performance games proven online and optimized for the Norwegian wide area market. The contract is for three years, with a possible extension of one year.
"We are very pleased to be chosen as a preferred game provider for Norsk Tipping. It proves that it's not about size in the regulated market, but about understanding the requirements of the lotteries and managing the process", says Genera Networks CEO Jan Stocklassa.
The deal was awarded after a public procurement process in which many of the most well-known brands in the gaming industry participated. Genera Networks' games are provided by its partners Microgaming, Isle of Man and Play'n GO, Sweden and will appear in three thousand IVT terminals throughout Norway starting in third quarter 2011.
"This marks a new era for Norsk Tipping and Multix", says Torbjørn Almlid CEO of Norsk Tipping. "It is important for us to offer exciting and entertaining games that meet the expectations of customers playing Multix. We aim to continue our success with Multix and keep generating profits for good causes while minimizing problem gaming. Genera Networks' dedication and knowledge bodes well for our future co-operation and we have high expectations for this partnership."
Genera Networks was founded in 2008, but the management team of Genera is not newcomers to the regulated gaming sector. "The reason we are successful as a B2G supplier now, is that we have been preparing for the development towards national regulation for several years before it actually started", says Jan Stocklassa.
