New CEO for Svenska Spel

“I am very pleased to present Lennart Käll as the new CEO. He has a solid and well documented experience in development and change management as well as sales and marketing from numerous companies. He is a proven leader that will be valuable in the future development of Svenska Spel,” says Anitra Steen, Chairman of Svenska Spel.

“Svenska Spel is an exciting company, with a strong corporate brand and a number of popular gaming products. Also, the connection to Swedish sports was very appealing to me. I am very honored to be appointed new CEO,” says Käll. “Svenska Spel has a unique and interesting mandate – to combine a strong social responsibility with offering attractive products and a great gaming experience to the customer. I am looking forward to developing our gaming responsibility as a commercial asset in our overall offering,” he added.
 
Lennart Käll comes from a background in bank and finance. He is currently the CEO of Wasa Kredit, a subsidiary to Länsförsäkringar Bank. He has also been the CEO of TryggFinans, CEO of SEB Finans, CEO of ICA Banken as well as CEO and President of Ticket Travel Group.

“My gaming experience can be summarised in my weekly Lotto numbers. But I also have 30 years business experience from a variety of trades and markets. The common denominator has been an interest in consumer markets and a strong customer focus. I will bring this experience to Svenska Spel,” Käll concluded.
