What novelties did the company present in FADJA?
We continue with the representation of Novomatic, and also presented this year our new agreements with Gold Club an American company PokerTek, a leader in the poker machine market.

What was the balance of the fair? How did the public respond?
The fair is small, but the quality of visitors was very good. Obviously, in these events you don’t sell a lot, although they are ideal for making good contacts. The balance was very positive.

How do you rate the current market situation in Colombia?
It is complicated. As everyone knows, ETESA is in liquidation. The Dirección de Impuestos y Aduanas Nacionales (DIAN) is taking over and people are a little worry about this situation. But I think this is good for the market; to be regularized and become a professional and managed by entrepreneurs.

Do current representations include only the Colombian market?
Novomatic representation is specifically for Colombia. Instead, we work the brand Gold Club for all of South America, and represent PokerTek in Central America, Colombia and Venezuela, a country that is having problems.

What other shows are you going to attend, both representing firms or as R. Franco?
The truth is that in this continent there are too many fairs. As R. Franco America, decided to come only to Colombia. Then, R. Franco Argentina will be in SAGSE Buenos Aires, and R. Franco Spain always participates in London trade show.

During FADJA, it was evident the repositioning and rebranding of the mark R. Franco. Why was that?
The world of gaming machines is constantly evolving and one cannot rest on your laurels. We must reinvent each day. Clearly, R. Franco is not what it was four or five years ago - as you can see at this show, there are no products from us here-, and R. Franco Colombia itself is becoming a distributor of different brands and we are about to enlist other companies. It is also possible that in the coming months we return to manufacure machines, but we always try to offer operators a wide range of products for all their gaming floors
