There was much interest in various products considering that each one has specific market niches, specially the NV9, which is seen and considered as a product that lets you update your previously acceptor by a new and modern product, without incurring in switching costs.

What is your evaluation of FADJA 2011?

Although it was a smaller trade show in both area and exhibitors, it was very well attended by the public and specifically public of the industry, which is very important in such events because it allows a greater return on our efforts.

How do you see today the Colombian market in particular and the Andean region in general?

Colombia is particularly affected by the fact that the legislation is not fully defined; this creates a lot of nervousness when making investments. In other countries in the Andean region and Latin America in general, legislative frameworks are a bit more stable, this coupled with a process of adjustment of economies, is in favour of the projects of this and other sectors.

How do you evaluate the position of Automated Transactions in Colombia and the Andean region?

In Colmbia we have eight years of direct presence, always showing our interest in a permanent support to the needs of customers regarding the acceptance of bills, although there are a lot more competition now, customers can recognize and appreciate that support. In the rest of the region, our presence has been a little less, but it is noteworthy that we have projects underway in Venezuela, Bolivia and in several other Latin American countries.

What is the importance of the Latin American market for Automated Transactions on your business model?

Innovative Technology as a manufacturer of products and Automated Transactions as their commercial subsidiary, has much interest in the Latin American market. That’s why since several years ago, we have an office in Colombia to handle the needs and demands of the región. Another proof of this, is that we have files for the recognition of almost all the bills in Latin American, in addition we are manufacturing our products in the region.
