TechFest scheduled for May 24-26 in Minnesota
“TechFest is for slot techs of all skill levels,” said lead instructor and TechFest organizer Randy Fromm. “There are seminars for everyone, from novice techs who want to learn the basics of ticket printers and BV maintenance to bench techs who need to brush up on LCD monitor repair.”
The TechFest program includes speakers representing 3M Touch Systems, Ceronix (LCD monitors), FutureLogic, JCM Global, Transact Technologies and MEI as well as a special instructional series on LCD monitors and power supply repair presented by Randy Fromm.
“It’s fairly easy to repair casino electronics down to the component level,” said Fromm. “This is especially true for most power supplies and LCD monitors so even if you have no previous electronics background, you will still leave TechFest with full knowledge of how to perform these types of repairs and much more, really.”
