The winners of the platinum, gold, and silver awards out of this top 20 list will be revealed at the Gaming Technology Summit May 23-25 at Green Valley Ranch Resort & Casino in Henderson, Nevada.
Summit attendees will also vote for an “Attendee Choice Award” from the 2010 “Top 20 Most Innovative Products.” Bally’s new Code Red slot game, iDeck touch-screen button deck, Service Tracking Manager, and TableView Chip Recognition all earned recognition for their industry-leading innovation.
“To have multiple products on this list is a true testament to the high caliber of work we are doing here at Bally Technologies,” said President and COO Ramesh Srinivasan. “Clearly the judges appreciate our broad range of leading-edge products, and choose to recognize Bally assets from both our games and systems roster of products.”
Code Red is a brand-new video slot utilizing Bally’s proprietary ALPHA 2 game electronics and housed in the new Pro Series Curve cabinet, with the industry’s first 22-inch curved LCD display offering players the look and feel of a traditional reel-spinning slot in a video cabinet. The game debuted earlier this month at the NIGA Indian Gaming 2011 Tradeshow and Convention in Phoenix.
The iDeck dramatically changes the game, replacing traditional button decks with a multi-touch interface that increases player interaction to unprecedented levels. This trailblazing technology features multiple levels of innovation, including player-selectable configuration, game-synchronized touch features, and multi-touch, skill-based gaming. iDeck is fully downloadable and ready for server-based environments.
Service Tracking Manager is a browser-based dispatch system that interfaces with handheld smart devices such as the iPhone and iPad for faster routing of casino floor personnel to customers. Players simply enter service requests directly from the slot machine via iVIEW Display Manager, and personnel closest to the patron are immediately notified for faster service. From ordering and delivering beverages, managing the slot floor, reviewing table game alerts, and automatically enrolling patrons to offers, Service Tracking Manager increases the efficiency of casino operations and customer satisfaction of patrons through superior floor management.
Bally’s new TableView Chip Recognition is a cutting-edge table games technology that provides casino operators with the ability to view the gaming chips with advanced camera technology, distinguish between various denominations, and perform an automated count on the chips. By identifying the wagers, Bally’s CMS and TableView real-time table management systems will be able to more accurately track player activity for comps and rewards, while also enhancing the ability to track play on the table for dealer efficiency and labor efficiencies.
An impressive panel of gaming industry insiders evaluated the entries and chose the winners. Last year Bally received three innovation accolades on the top 20 list with: the Cash Spin game featuring U-Spin gesture-control technology; Bally Business Intelligence data-analysis solution; and the Bally Command Center server-based solution for floor-configuration management.
