The adoption of new regulatory rules of gambling in Denmark was the subject of protests and allegations of local operators, who saw in the new law a clear case of state aid by the Government towards the online gaming.

Then, the Commission began a procedure to clarify such extreme forcing the Danish authorities to file all claims deemed appropriate to consider the new rules did not constitute a state aid case.

Now, the Government, through Birgitte Sand, informs that they are analyzing the claims made by operators, organizations and other stakeholders (total 16) to send a formal response to the Commission by mid to late April, convinced to obtain a favorable resolution. This would come at the end of July, so by October could open the online gambling market in Denmark, while Sand considers more viable that it produced in January 2012.
