Multimedia Games appoints new Board Chairman

He assumes the responsibilities of Chairman from Michael J. Maples, who served in this role since April 2006 following his appointment to the Company’s Board in August 2004. Maples will continue to serve as a Director. The Board believes that alternating its leadership is consistent with corporate governance best practices.

Greathouse has been a Director since April 2009 and was appointed Vice Chairman in March 2010. He has over 30 years of experience in the Las Vegas hotel and gaming industry, most recently as Senior Vice President of Operations for the Mandalay Resort Group from 1997 to 2005. He also served as President of Boardwalk Hotel & Casino in 1997 and Chairman and CEO of Alliance Gaming Corporation (renamed “Bally Technologies in 2006) from 1994 to 1997.

Earlier in his career, he spent 16 years in various roles at Harrah’s (renamed “Caesars Entertainment Corporation” in 2010,) including President of its Casino-Hotel Division.
