Tabcorp casino division to be called Echo

(Autralia).- Gaming company Tabcorp Holdings says its casino business, which it plans to spin off as a new company, will be called Echo Entertainment Group.

The company will operate Tabcorp's four casinos in Sydney, Gold Coast, Brisbane and Townsville. Tabcorp would retain the wagering, gaming and Keno businesses.

Larry Mullin, the current CEO of the casino division would become CEO of Echo after the demerger and listing on the Australian Securities Exchange, Melbourne-based Tabcorp said in a statement on Wednesday.

Tabcorp said it aimed to issue a scheme booklet in April or May and was seeking approval from shareholders for the demerger in June 2011.

The demerger's implementation is planned for July 1.
