The ISO 9001:2008 certification is an internationally-recognized set of standards for a quality management system model. GTECH has maintained its ISO 9001 certification continuously since December 16, 1992.
The ISO 9001:2008 standard is comprised of eight clauses – Scope; Normative References; Terms and Definitions; Quality Management System; Product Realization; Management Responsibility; Resource Management; and Measurement, Analysis, and Improvement.
These clauses continue to reflect the increased attention to customer satisfaction monitoring; communication of quality requirements; and the identification of necessary facilities, skills, and competence.
GTECH’s scope has changed to reflect the relocation of its manufacturing facility from West Greenwich, Rhode Island to Coventry, Rhode Island.
“GTECH’s continuous ISO 9001 certification proves that our Quality Management System provides the assurances to our customers that we will meet or exceed their expectations,”
said Corey Donnerstag, GTECH Senior Director of Manufacturing Operations. “GTECH focuses on the commitment to continuously improve and prevent non-conformances, and we will continue to accomplish this through training, the pursuit of root causes, corrective actions, and the establishment of preventive actions.”
GTECH contracted Quality Systems Registrar (QSR) to perform the audit against ISO 9001:2008. QSR conducted the external audit on October 29, 2010. GTECH will continue to be audited two times per year by QSR on two to three quality elements of the standard during its current three-year contract.
