Gtech’s Lakeland, Florida location, and home to Gtech Printing Corporation (GPC), is the Company’s first corporate location to receive the dual certification. These certifications cover all design and development activities related to the production of instant tickets for lotteries, including the ISMS, technical design and development, finance, human resources, physical security, IT and application security, business continuity, and internal audit.
The effort demonstrated by the Lakeland team, along with corporate entities such as Information Security and Internal Audit, is evidence of the level of commitment to the Company’s customers and of the effectiveness of this process.
More than 50 % of the locations where Gtech solutions are installed are now operating under the highest level of security standards. The company expects to have a total of five corporate locations, including its corporate headquarters in Providence, Rhode Island, certified by the end of 2011.
“The ISO 27001 and WLA SCS certifications are significant milestones in a larger information security effort. These most recent achievements mark the validation of applying a global Information Security Management System (ISMS) to corporate, development, and management locations,” said Gtech Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Michael Prescott.
