According to the newspaper, the move has lead to speculation among industry players that Ho was looking at distancing herself from MGM Macau in order to get a board seat at Sociedade de Jogos de Macau.
Ho is one of the defendants named in a writ filed earlier this month by her father, Stanley Ho Hung Sun, to regain control of his gaming assets.
This is the latest episode in the case of Ho’s transfer of his 32 % stake in STDM, held by Lanceford, to family-run firms Action Winner Holdings and Ranillo Investments.
Action Winner Holdings is 100 percent owned by Ho’s third wife, Ina Chan Un-chan, while Ranillo Investments is owned by Ho’s five children to his second wife, Lucina Laam: Pansy, Daisy, Maisy, Josie and Lawrence.
Ho was STDM’s largest shareholder. STDM is the parent company of SJM Holdings, which owns Sociedade de Jogos de Macau.
