Hawaii starts to consider gambling proposals

(Hawaii).- The first of what is expected to be a large number of gambling proposals for Hawaii was heard this week in the House Tourism Committee.

House Bill 394 would allow slot machines and video poker machines on hotel and resort properties as long as they were not visible from private property.

The bill proposes a constitutional amendment, which means it would require approval by the public at the next general election.
