“In 2007, just the 4% of these venues were legal. We have reverted this situation considerably, because nowadays, the formalization of the sector has concluded, authorizing the venues that complied with the law and closing those that did not accredit its compliance. Therefore, we have achieved a historical number in games of chance collection, which, thanks to the amnesty of the payments exceeded the us$ 49,4 million, it means, a 300% increment with regards to 2006”, assured the Minister Ferreyros.
The collection of this tax is distributed monthly among the local governments (30%), regional governments (30%) MINCETUR (15%), the Public Treasury (15%) and the IPD (10%). Besides, the 15% of MINCETUR is distributed among the Centers of Technological Innovation of Handydrafts (30%), fiscalization issues (50%) and tourist development (20%).
