More than 100 gaming regulators expected at ICE 2011

The 2011 gaming spectacular, which features over 400 exhibitors spread across 20,000 square metres of stand space, will welcome officials from jurisdictions stretching from Sweden to Swaziland, Belgium to Bulgaria, Gibraltar to Ghana and Singapore to Slovenia.

ICE Show Director Kate Chambers believes that the attendance of such a number of regulators is an important but often overlooked feature of the exhibition. She explained: “Firstly, I have to say that having so many influential regulators coming to ICE is a hugely positive recognition of the show’s international status and the reputation it enjoys amongst legislators and influencers. The reasons they come to London are exactly the same as those of our 20,000 buyers. Both groups attend because they know that ICE hosts the world’s smartest innovators and the biggest names in global gaming. If it’s in gaming it will be at ICE.”

“The ability to attract so many regulators is very important for a number of reasons.  It allows them to see the sheer size of the industry in its fullest sense, it provides an opportunity to understand the new technologies which are transforming gaming and it’s a shop window to see the socially responsible nature of international gaming,” she continued.
