Dado is writer of the subject in the Commission of Finances and Tax, and incorporated amendments to the plenary to his text, which had already been approved in the commission.

Last Wednesday, the urgent votation of the project in the commission was marked by accusations of legislators bribed by the lobby of the sector. During the session, Representative Marcelo Itagiba (PSDB-RJ) said that he was sought by a public officer from the Ministry of Justice who wanted to cover the project in mud, and he said he knew there was a payment of bribes.

“That representative from the Ministry of Justice told me that a lot of money is being used in order to vote and approve this week the issue regarding bingo and slots legalization in the Chamber”, said the representative.

In the votation, the most impassioned reporting corruption was Fernando Chiarelli (PDT-SP): “In my view, those who vote in favor of the urgency and in favor of the project, in words of representative Marcelo Itagiba, are being bribed. Corruption is operating freely,” he affirmed.

Two representatives from PDT, Chiarelli’s political party, were in favor of the bingo approval: Paulo Pereira da Silva, Paulinho da Força and writer João Dado, both from San Pablo.
