Castilla y León will be the first Spanish council in regulating online gaming

The information was commented by the council of Interior and Justice of the Council, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, before inaugurating the VII Gaming Congress of Castilla y León.

The community of Castilla y León will be the first in approving a legal frame for these activities with the aim to protect users and bring legal security to companies of the sector. In Castilla y León there are 470 companies dedicated to gaming activities, which comprise 21 bingo halls and three casinos, while the rest are dedicated to the slots sector. The estimation is that next year they will contribute with more than 117 million euros in taxes to the regional administration.

The decree will regulate the use through this channels of those games that are currently authorized in traditional gambling venues, such as roulette, poker or bingo, as well as other games of knowledge, strategy or skill, that are specified in the Catalogue of Games and Bets of Castilla y León.
