Bevin Pandaram, Slots Shift Manger Marketing at Monte Casino, said, “The machines have been so popular that we have actually had customers queuing to have a chance to play.  The tournament to introduce the machines was a great success and the machines are doing very well. The cabinets look great and have been well programmed -- the game actually sells itself.”

Deal or No Deal Join’N Play has performed very well since its inception and was launched to the African market at the Winter Games 2010. Based on the hit game show, it is designed for the social player, and offers a unique interactive experience between players that is heightened by the thrill of competition.

“We are really excited to see how well Deal or No Deal Join’N Play has performed and created interaction between players on the bank, which adds to the entertainment experience,” said Cliff Lamberton, Managing Director of Atomic Gaming, the official distributor for Atronic in South Africa.

While players are playing the base game, an on-screen countdown intensifies the excitement as the bonus round ticks closer. In order to qualify for the bonus round, players must collect a minimum number of 18 briefcases. Each additional golden briefcase collected earns the player a bonus multiplier, which raises the win amount proportionally.  A special multiplier offered in the 6th reel increases golden briefcases even more. Once the countdown has ended, the Briefcase Bonus round is triggered for players who have qualified.

During the bonus round, all the players’ briefcases are displayed on a five-screen 46-inch LCD wall.  Some of the cases are randomly opened, revealing their amounts. The Banker appears and offers players a credit amount based on the average of the hidden amounts in the remaining cases. The player then chooses “Deal” or “No Deal”.

This continues until either all the players have chosen “Deal” to accept the offer, or until just one case remains.  As the round comes to an end, players have the option of selecting the last remaining case, staying with their originally chosen case, or switching to another player’s case.  During the last part of the bonus round, the players’ selected cases open, revealing their individual credit amounts. Each player’s credit amount is multiplied by the player’s own multiplier.  Final results are then displayed on the five-screen LCD wall.
