Amending Article 9 of the federal law on state gambling regulation
Rostov region taken out from list of gambling zone provinces
(Russia).- According to information released this week by the press service of the head of state, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed the bill amending Article 9 of the federal law on state regulation of gambling.

The State Duma lower house of the Russian parliament approved the bill last October 22, and the Federation Council upper house passed it on October 27.
The bill takes out the Rostov region from the list of the Russian provinces that can set up gambling zones.
Also, the bill enables the government to shut down a gambling zone before the expiration of the ten-year period since its establishment.
