Although they operate illegally, the casino business handles around us$ 304,971,000, a number that may be compared with the budget of a big ministry for a year.

Rayo said that the initiative aims to legalize casinos because, although they are banned, authorities do not control them and have become in “excellent” money laundering centers.

Controls are “tolerant”, assured Rayo, so a law of this kind will be able to have more control and force those businesses to pay taxes to the state to benefit the community.
