What are your expectations for SAGSE Buenos Aires?
We expect SAGSE to be a great show for Gaming Laboratories International, and a very educational week for regulators. We hosted our Regulators Roundtable the day before SAGSE begins, and we expect more than 40 regulators from across Latin America to attend. At SAGSE, we will be speaking with both regulators and suppliers about the many benefits that come from testing, inspections and system security audits. With our combined interaction at the Roundtable and at SAGSE, we expect it to be a very productive week.
In your opinion, is this edition’s main challenge?
The challenge will be the same as it is in nearly every jurisdiction in the world right now – it will be an economic challenge. However, we are seeing bright signs around the world, and we are enthusiastic about gaming’s future.
What do Argentina and the South American market represent for your organization? What is the potential for this region?
We work with regulators and suppliers for their testing needs in jurisdictions across Latin America, and the potential for growth is very strong. For suppliers, we provide certification and on-site field inspections services; regulator training through our GLI University program; on-site network security assessment; verification tools; lottery, keno and bingo testing; iGaming testing and pari-mutuel testing. For suppliers, we test and certify devices, systems and software; RNG analysis; communication testing and certification; online certification transfers; remote systems testing; and have regionally located staff.
