“We created Poker Sports thinking in Latin America because we understand that we had to think at a regional level. After the success of poker on TV,  where it occupies more space each time in tradicional sports channels, the market is already mature for a thematic channel, with a public willing to see those contents,” commented Gregorio De Luca, general director of the new channel.

In a second stage, to be developed in 2011, the reach will be even more regional, covering the main Latin American markets until presenting the channel in the European continent.

With the coverage of  international tournaments and programs that gather the main specialists, its own high-quality contents and the most remarkable international shows, the channel offers a new space dedícate to communication, contact and professionalization. The programs are 100% in Spanish (international contents are doubled or subtitled).

Where Poker is news

Poker Sports News will be the key program of the signal. Having started last Tuesday with the broadcast of daily news flashes, the news program will debut in October in prime time.

Every day, Luciana Falcón and Manuel Sánchez, with a group of specialists, will bring all the information of the sector with the coverage of tournaments, agenda, interviews, ranking, players profile, novelties in the online sector and the intimacy of the most remarkable poker rooms, among other contents.

Going beyond TV

Poker Sports aims to go beyond the TV display. Two months ago it was born Poker Sports Radio live, through www.pokersportsradio.net. Besides, poker lovers may enjoy the own programs from Poker Sports Radio in FM Late 93.1.

The printed publication of Poker Sports Magazine is also part of this complete communication offer. The magazine –which will be issued once a month and will be for free- will be launched in SAGSE Buenos Aires and will reach the main regional casinos.

Yogonet is in charge of the News Department of Poker Sports as well as of the edition of PokerSports Magazine.

Poker Sports is broadcast by Cablevisión in channel 108, in the guide of sports channels together with well known channels such as ESPN, Speed and Golf Channel, among others.
