From Loyra Abogados, they informed that the reason was the sentence imposed by the court of arbitration of the World Trade Organization (WTO) on US for not respecting the free comerce agreements included in the WTO Treaty with regards to online gaming. Such veredict meant the payment of an important compensation.

Antigua and Barbuda has lost a productive business and claims the US Federal Government an economic compensation. So far, no solution has begun to be seen and negotiations between both parties are paralized.

This way, Antigua and Barbuda has demanded the WTO court an urgent intervention to achieve a compensation for the damages caused.
