The technical norm proposed establishes that the central server of SSGS must count with a system connected to each slot, which allows a secure download of a gaming program and its configuration, without affecting the development of the game that is being used in paralell to the download process. Such server will have to be located in the interior of the facilities of each casino that chooses to implement this technology, being strictly forbidden its location out of the premises.
The instruction in technical consultation also points that all the downloadable gaming programs stored in the central server must be previously homologated by the entity and comply with SCJ norms in that the instructions of each game and its respective payment list must be in Spanish. Besides, the slots connected to the Server Supported Game System will have to continue bringing, at least, a winning percentaje as a jackpot for players of no less than 85%.
On top of the incorporation of this new system that is being analyzed and considering the current technical development in games of chance that has experimented the new casino industry in Chile, the Superintendence instructed last August the procedure for those operating societies of casinos that decide to implement the system of progressive jackpots or WAP (Wide Area Progressive) in its games of chance machines and that allows to interconnect different casinos of the new industry. The entity also authorized the incorporation of progressive jackpots, connecting tables of Draw Poker, Caribbean Poker and Go Poker of the same casino, so each player may place an additional, voluntary and independent bet that allows to qualify for the payment of an accumulated jackpot.
