The firm’s previous appearances at the Madrid show, in 2009 and 2008, were made in association with another exhibitor on a stand-share basis.
Christian Colus, Aristocrat’s Head of Sales for Southern Europe, explained: “Having established a dedicated Spanish subsidiary in Barcelona in 2008, we have succeeded in launching the Aristocrat brand into an entirely new market with casino-style Type B videogames Big Red and Queen of the Nile now performing across five key jurisdictions through strong partnerships with leading operator/distributors, Comdibal2000, Egasa and Grupo Vid.”
“Aristocrat continues to invest resources in the development of new and exciting games for this important market. The decision to exhibit in Madrid as a unique entity signals a significant strategic step with the underlying message that Aristocrat intends to achieve its aim of becoming a major player in the Type B gaming machine sector. Our pedigree is second to none with more than 50 years of gaming experience in global markets and unrivalled expertise in videogaming, with three decades of proven performance in this sector alone,” he concluded.
Aristocrat will exhibit on stand C24 at FER-Interazar 2010, which takes place at the IFEMA, Feria de Madrid, on September 22-24.
