Uruguay: General Direction of Casinos desisted from the call to an international public tender

(Uruguay).- According to an official release by the General Direction of Casinos through its website, the entity has decided to desist from the call to an International Public Tender Number 3/2009 at this stage of the procedure.

The opening of offers of the International Public Tender Number 3/2009 was planned for last June 25. It aimed to incorporate gambling venues (casinos or entertainment venues) to the Mixed Exploitation System of Commercial Touristic, Sports and/OR cultural Complexes.

The General Casino Direction communicated that, according to article 17 on the Document of Particular Conditions, as well as by article 37 of the Decree 488/2008 of October 15, 2008 in article 1º of the Decree 302/2009 on June 29 2009, it has resolved to “desist” from the call.

“Notwithstanding that, the drafts of the investment designed for the referred call can be presented before this General Direction for its study, which will evaluate and perform the corresponding administrative procedure attending to opportunity and convenience reasons”, pointed the release.
