The first business annual event of the gaming industry in the Caribbean, Aruba Gaming Expo, will take place on September 1 and 2 at the Westin Resort Hotel.
On a recent visit by Cheryl Olson, Associate Director of Gaming Management Program at the University of Nevada, Reno, the project received important support from the casinos in Aruba. In the meetings, Professor Olson presented the different options of training courses to the General Managers to consult and arrange the academic contents according to the expectations and needs of the gaming room operators. Among the suggestions received, we have the topics on Security Advanced Functions and Management, Security and Risk Management for the Gaming Industry.
“I am very pleased with the result of our tour to the casinos in Aruba. The format of an academic event together with an exclusive corporate exhibit has had great acceptance. I hope to receive news very soon from each one of the managers with whom I was able to meet to announce the special courses we will be presenting to a very selective audience with specific training needs,” declared the expert, who has been linked to educational programs for the gaming industry for the past 13 years.
Besides, Jose Anibal Aguirre stated his confidence in the educational model which will take place in Aruba in cooperation with the University of Nevada. On top of contributing to the managerial development of the industry, it guarantees a corporate contact and public relations, which are key tools between operators and manufacturers. He also assured that next week he will be releasing the topics, the hours, the registration costs and other details of the academic congress which will take place in Aruba Gaming Expo.
