Gtech signs online lottery contract with Totalizator Sportowy in Poland

(Poland).- Lottomatica Group announced that its subsidiary Gtech Corporation was chosen by Totalizator Sportowy, a government-owned lottery organization in Warsaw, to provide a wide array of lottery technology and ongoing services.

The seven-year contract, which follows a competitive procurement, will commence on December 1, 2011, and includes the option for three extension years.  Gtech has been Totalizator Sportowy’s online lottery technology and services provider since 1991 and will continue to maintain a primary data center and a backup data center in Warsaw.

“Gtech offered Totalizator Sportowy proven capabilities, products, and quality of services that will meet the Lottery’s vision for the future, enabling them to respond to market challenges with accelerated innovation,” said Gtech President and CEO Jaymin B. Patel.
