"This new law will increase the credibility of our casinos and help turn Angola into a major gaming and entertainment hub in Africa," he said. "I really believe that Angola has the potential to become a leading tourism destination and rival South Africa as a top tourism and gaming destination for tourists around the world.
"I think the biggest challenge facing Casino de Angola and other operators eyeing Angola's booming gaming market is the negative connotation associated with gambling. We aim to continue to promote responsible gaming as we extend our operations across the country. But our position is clear: we want visitors to be there for the right reasons - to have fun."
