London to have the biggest schedule of poker events in September

(UK).- London becomes capital of the poker world this September with the biggest schedule of poker events ever to hit Europe. The 70+ poker event festival will be held from August 28 to September 28, and runs along side some of the largest tournaments on the continent.

On August 28th, The World Poker Tour London (WPT) comes to town, and is closely followed by The English Poker Open (EPO); and of course, the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) is running throughout the second half of September. In total, those tournaments alone bring a prize pool of over us$ 13.6 million to the capital. The London Poker Festival also offers an additional 30 cash and small buy-in tournaments throughout a dozen participating London card rooms, and raises the total estimated prize pool to over us$ 15.1 million.

The London Poker Festival is also introducing an additional 30 non-cash events for poker players including Europe's largest poker fair, Poker in the Park and The British Poker Awards. In its 4th year, Poker in the Park offers poker enthusiasts two days of everything poker with marquees hosted by the biggest names in poker.

The two-day poker fair offers entertainment and hospitality to 20,000 poker enthusiasts, including poker lectures, poker tuition, fun-poker play and league poker events. The British Poker Awards will, for the first time ever, honor British and European poker players in an open-to-the-public awards ceremony and pro-am poker tournament.

Additional festival events include Poker Academy tutorial lectures and seminars, pro-player autograph sessions, a private Bluff Europe Rocks concert, charity poker tournaments, celebrity player hosted parties, and the first ever Baller Strip Poker championships.
