In 2006, IMG and Harrah's Entertainment formed an exclusive global sales and marketing alliance centered around business operations for the World Series of Poker, Harrah's signature sports property. IMG works closely with Harrah's across all areas of the WSOP business, including global sponsorship sales, international event development and international television representation.
"We are thrilled to add these new and exciting companies to the World Series of Poker family of licensees," said Tim Rothwell, IMG Executive Vice President and Co-Managing Director, Worldwide Licensing. "The WSOP tournament has become one of the most successful and recognized sporting event brands in the world. We are committed to working with the WSOP to continue to build on its momentum by using our global marketing, media and licensing resources to further enhance brand impressions and visibility with consumers through new and innovative channels."
"We're thrilled to welcome partners who understand poker enthusiasts are now a big, viable market and want to align with the brand leader," said World Series of Poker Vice President Ty Stewart.
The eight new licensees are: One of the Boys and Nat Nast (apparel), United States Playing Cards (playing cards, poker chips and poker accessories), Technosource (electronic handhelds), Cinsay (E-commerce), Silver Buffalo (barware/wall décor), Top of the World and Infinity Headwear (headwear).
