Française des Jeux and Lucien Barrière authorized to create a games of chance website
FDJ is an historical games of chance and spotsbooks operator in France, while GLB group has its activity in sectors such as hostelling, casino management and events organization, mainly in France, on top of counting with poker websites in Malta and in UK.
The new company will be called Newco and will commercialize Internet poker games in France, after the opening to the competence of the French games of chance market, informed Brussels in a press release. It will also commercialize online poker games and multimedia computing programs to create platforms from which Internet users will be able to have access to the games.
The file,that notified Brussels last April 19, was examined by the Commission through the simplified procedure applied to less problematic cases.
