The Secretary of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) issued last March 31st some modifications to the Law Amending 2010, through which it establishes July 1st as the deadline for all the gaming machines that operate in the country to count with a certification that guarantee their reliability in the market.
“We passed three years of constant work and an investment of around us$ 712,979 to create Mexican norms, reliable processes and a distinctive mark that would be put in every machine so the Mexican consumer can have more security in gaming devices,”indicated Hernández.
In the expert’s opinion, the certification of the gaming machines is an important step towards a modern legal system. However, he said: “A Mexican Official Norm that backs that regulatory frame still has to be established”.
