Yogonet inaugurated yesterday its series of conferences in Mexico

The day started early in the morning, with the presence of Carlos Zamudio (director of the Mexican Horse Race Administration, belonging to CIE Group), Manuel Alonso (Director General de AB Com) and Alfonso Pérez Lizaur (president of the Association of Games and Draws Licensees in Mexico), who examined the current situation of the sector in the country.

Among the assistants to the event (more than 180 persons) there were representatives of the main gaming operators of the country, as well as several managers of international gaming manufacturers, which, in some cases, talked and in others simply listened each of the talks planned for the organization of the event.

“We are really very satisfied with the result of the first day of our series of conferences in Mexico, because we count from the beginning with a good level of participants, that shows the support and the confidence that the gaming sector has placed again on our Encuentros Yogonet”, pointed Pablo Zuppi, director of Yogonet.

“We know the need of the sector in this type of actions, and we trust that, year after year, the commitment we take when we face the responsibility to offer a serious and qualified space with our conferences, both in Buenos Aires and now in the City of Mexico, is perceived by executives and businessmen that accompany us, as a mandatory date,” added Diego Fiz, director of Yogonet.

Later, John Connelly (Bally), Eduardo Aching (Konami), Alvaro Nores (Aristocrat), Rafael Lucio Muñoz (IGT) and Sebastián Salat (WMS) participated in a talk called: “Class III arrives in Mexico,” with Luis Casamayor (Codere) as moderador of the exhibition.

As part of the institutional support received, engineer Juan Bosco Martí Ascencio, head of the Government Unit of the Secretary of Government (SEGOB) talked about the current situation of the market legislation, the legal security and the economic development of the sector in recent years, the control plan recently implemented and the strong combat to illegal gaming faced by the state.

He was accompanied by María Guadalupe López Mares, Alfonso Pérez Lizaur (Association of Licensees) and Pedro Galindo Guerra, head oCasinos de Latinoamérica magazine and main organizer of ELA Mexico. 

On the ending, it was discussed the subject “Mexico and its challenge in the Certification of Equipments”, with the participation of Karen Sierra-Hughes (GLI), Carlos Sanz Blanco (Codere), Salvador Sánchez Abarca (NYCE), Damijan Plecko (Alfastreet) and lawyer Alfredo Lazcano (Lazcano Sámano).

Today, the last four sessions will be held, closing a very successful first incursion of this summit in the Mexican market.
