How do you see the Colombian market? Do you think that the new rules could affect you? Which are your perspectives?
I think that new rules have generated some fear in the operators, which reduced their willingness to invest. However, the formalization of the industry is necessary and convenient in Colombia, both for the government and the operators, considering the medium and long-term scenario. In order to implement regulations successfully and with sustainability in time, it is very important that there is a close communication between the government and the different actors of the industry: operators, manufacturers and providers in general.
Do you have any special policy for this market?
Our policy, not only for Colombia but also for Latin America in general, has been to bring a very superior customer support service that the traditional one. This has been the key of our success and the market penetration in the region.
What have you presented in FADJA? Which were the novelties?
We exhibited Universal Hopper, very well known and reliable worldwide, as well as our Ardac Elite ticket acceptor, which has had a terrific acceptance in the Colombian market.
How have you seen the event?
FADJA had an important reduction this year. However, we could see that the session was very satisfactory. We received visits from most local operators as well as important customers from different countries, such as Peru, Venezuela, Argentina, Chile, Panama and Costa Rica, among others.
Which will be the next steps of the company?
To continue as pioneers in the bill and coin validation in the markets in which we have presence, supporting and maintaining our customers satisfied with our products and post-sales support. Besides, we are paying attention to the opportunities in markets whose opening we have been waiting anxiously from a long time ago, such as Mexico and Brazil.
