New possibilities for Novomatic in Austria
(Austria).- Novomatic's interest in the possibility that it may at last have an opportunity to operate its own casino in its home country was confirmed Dr Franz Wohlfahrt, CEO of Novomatic AG.

Wohlfahrt said: “The Austrian legislation must first pass through the Parliament and that should happen in May or June. The new law would then come into effect in August or September.
"We understand that the Minister of Finance would begin the process of inviting interested parties for applications in 2011. There is no indication yet which cities would become venues of the new casinos.”
“Novomatic would bid, if the location of the proposed casinos will fit with our business strategy. The proposed law would be an opportunity for equal opportunity in the licensing structure and procedures”, he concluded.
