The three new applications, meeting the deadline, are: Mason-Dixon Resorts, LP, for the Eisenhower Hotel, Conference Center and Resort, in Gettysburg, Woodlands Fayette, LLC, for the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, Farmington and Penn Harris Gaming, LP, for the Holiday Inn Harrisburg West, Mechanicsburg. Another application, from Wyo Gaming, LP, for Crown Plaza Reading, Wyomissing, was filed earlier.
According to Susan Hensel, Director of the Bureau of Licensing, Gaming Control Board staff will now conduct a preliminary review of the new applications to determine if they include the applicable forms along with the additional information and documentation required by the Gaming Act or Board’s regulations.
That’s what happened with Fernwood’s original application, submitted two years ago. Instead of awarding two licenses, the Gaming Control Board awarded just one, to the Valley Forge Resort Casino. There is no word on when the GCB will make a final decision.
