The March of 2010 slot revenue figures have shown a 29% increase over the previous year. A total of us$ 200,192,919 had been generated by the group of casinos in the state. This is contrasted by the us$ 155,119,467 from March of 2009.

Of the us$ 200,192,919 collected, over us$ 110 million was returned to Pennsylvanians in tax revenue. This is an average of us$ 3.55 million per day, compared to a us$ 3.3 million per day tax collection in February. Roughly two-thirds of this money will be sent to property tax reduction, further alleviating the tax burden upon home owners.

Parx Casino has continued to show dominance in the month of March. The Philadelphia Park Racetrack Casino had earned us$ 36.4 million in March of 2010, or an 11.47 % incraese over the previous year’s revenue. Harrah’s Chester Casino and Racetrack was the second top earner, having generated us$ 28 million.

Harrah’s, Presque Isle, and Mount Airy were the only casinos to show a dip in revenue, with Mount Airy down a significant 26.61%. Table games are set to be included in many of these casinos by summer. The adding of the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem and Rivers Casino brought in an additional us$ 43 million in revenue, which would account for the sharp rise in revenue almost entirely.
