In his inauguration speech, Fernando Henar said that the Confederation will lead essentials changes that this sector needs. "We must recognize that the current bingo crisis is a result of staying still while all around things are changing" said Henar. The goal of the Confederation is to provide customerswith the interest and excitement that bingo gave them some time ago.

The President would like to increase the prizes and offer more play time for the same money. Henar also stressed the need to fight against the high bingo tax rate and for a new regulation in line with new technologies. In this regard, he remarked that bingo companies in Spain, which practically can’t make any advertising, annually pay taxes of 900 million Euros and maintain 10,000 jobs.

He concluded with a call to urgently solve the vulnerability of the offline bingo industry due to the unfair competition of online gaming, remembering that Internet gaming companies don’t pay taxes in Spain, don’t hold jobs, however, its adverts are placed on football shirts of several first division teams.

CEJ is a part of the CEOE and represents the complete  bingo business throughout Spain since 1983.
