Last Thursday, the Senate passed the bill that had already had success in the House. On the same day, Governor Jack Markell signed the bill into law. Due to the passed legislation, Dover Downs, Harrington Raceway & Casino, and Delaware Park are now authorized to operate table games. The games that will be permitted will be decided by the Delaware Lottery Commission. Regulation will also be drawn up by the Commission.

According to early estimates, roughly 700 jobs will be created in the state, including the dealers, other casino workers, and even new state jobs. The state would also receive 29.4 % of the revenue generated by the casinos.
