magicPAY is an add-on module to REAC’s successful Management System which is operated by the majority of the arcades in The Netherlands.

Expecting the long-awaited change in the legislation for payment methods in Dutch arcades, the introduction of a RFID contactless cashless module means a quantum leap for the arcade industry where up-to-date players are still playing with coins as not even bill acceptors were legalized by the Dutch government.

With magicPAY, REAC is more than prepared for the upcoming change in legislation and is able to offer their customers a sophisticated yet user-friendly system. The magicPAY card can be issued as an anonymous or a personalized card depending on the requirements of the arcade operators.

magicPAY offers all the numerous advantages of a cashless card system - increased revenues through uninterrupted play, less downtime of the machines, cost savings by reduced coin and money handling and in addition, it is extremely secure and user-friendly. For the players, the main benefit is the comfort the card offers – hands-free operation, independent of machine denomination, no queuing at the cash desk and last but not least the ease of operation.

When entering the arcade, guests can load their magicPAY cards either at the cash desk or at a card dispensing kiosk supplied by German manufacturer HESS. The players proceed to their chosen machines and the only action to upload credits to the machines is to hold the card in front of the marked spot on the machine.

The system allows players to even play on simultaneously on several machines (number is selectable by the operators) and to reserve a machine by means of their magicPAY card for e.g. a smoking break. When guests want to leave the arcade, the procedure at the machine is reversed, the player goes to the card kiosk, receives his deposit and remaining credits in cash and can leave the arcade without having to queue at a cash desk.

The Dutch arcade industry is excited about the possibilities that magicPAY has to offer and is impatient for the long-awaited regulatory change to come into force.  Despite the fact that magicPAY has initially been developed for the Dutch arcade market, REAC have prepared their system to enter international arcade or casino markets as well.
