“We set a business model where, on top of the local races, the new accredited agent of JCB may also offer the customers bets in international races. We are currently receiving queries from businessmen interested in new units. After the evaluation of the potential of the interested market, and attending the interests of JCB and Codere, we think that this year we will open between two and four new units”, said Vernucci.
Besides, he affirmed that the public expectations for Camboriú Resort, that operate from Sundays to Thursdays, from 14,00 to midnight and Fridays and Saturdays until 3 p.m., will receive 80 daily visits.
“Camboriú Resort has a lot of tourism, both internal –people from the region of the Vale do Itajaí, Joinville, Blumenau, Brusque- that go visit the city many weekends during the year, and external, with a high number of Argentinians and Uruguayans. We expect to receive 80 visits a day in peak season”, he affirmed.
According to the director of the multinational, the main aim is to promote horse races through JCB races and from the best horse racetracks worldwide, in order to create a horse racing culture, which is one of the challenges to face.
“Mainly in cities that are still not attended by the current network of accredited agents, or where the demand of this type of entertainment is larger than the offer. With the promotion of the horse races we aim to generate an increment of MGA and, consequently, a rise in the jackpots. Horse race shows tend to become more interesting and attract more public, which generates a virtuous cicle for the sector”, concluded.
