Making the biggest splash on stand 3415 will be Aristocrat’s licensed JAWS Hyperlink product. First sighted at G2E Las Vegas in late 2008, the game has been swimming along in American casinos and is now entering waters around Europe and Africa with approvals in EMEA jurisdictions rolling out across 2010.

Based on the popular film franchise, JAWS submerges the player in a total experience. A nervous flick of a finger on the “shark tooth” spin button begins the game, resplendent with the familiar spine-tingling JAWS theme music. Adding to the ‘fin-tastic’ playing experience, an electro-mechanical buoy topper lights up and sounds off a bell during game play, whilst shark gills cover the speakers. Compared to its original namesake, JAWS is more fun than dangerous, with one of four Hyperlink progressive jackpots up for the catch and fun bonus games.

Adding extra bite to casino floor gaming, Aristocrat is debuting two Triple Standalone Progressive games at IGE, Hi Octane and Hillbillions. These feature-rich TSAP games offer a three-level jackpot opportunity in addition to the base game, with prize levels shown on top-box jackpot meters.

Following its introduction into France during the second half of 2009, the local area linked progressive jackpot Millioni$er will make its first industry-wide presentation at IGE, with Wild Panda now available as a base game in addition to the existing titles 50 Dragons and 5 Dragons. Themed on the highly successful North American version, Millioni$er has been ported to the latest Gen7 platform, with Hyperlink technology offering players the opportunity to win significant amounts from a minimal stake.

In common with other Hyperlink products, Millioni$er offers four jackpot levels: Mini, Minor, Major and Grand – the first three being incremental with the latter fixed at €1m. Whilst players don’t need to play Max Bet to be eligible for the feature that could trigger the top prize, wagering higher stakes will vastly improve their chances.

Aristocrat’s popular Hyperlink multi-game product, Money Train makes a new excursion for 2010 with the addition of a fresh undercarriage of four new base games, whilst the European portfolio of standalone Viridian games gets a significant boost with 12 new Gen7-dedicated titles spanning a range of genres including Standalone Progressive, Reelpower, PowerPay, Xtra Reelpower and Multi Line. Key games to look out for in this category comprise 2 Can, Bolly Boogie, Deep Freeze, Elephant Trail, Falcon Queen, Genies Riches, Hippo Luck, In The Gold, Mammoth Thunder, Samurai Drifter, Tiger Lily and Wild Gorilla.

Daniel Lindsay, General Manager of Aristocrat Technologies Europe, commented: “Whilst JAWS is clearly going to be one of the stand-out products of IGE, we are confident that our broad range of gaming options will deliver operators with the high levels of player excitement and floor performance that have long been hallmarks of Aristocrat games. We believe in providing variety and enthralling entertainment to the widest possible range of players and our 2010 collection reflects just that.”

As in previous years, the teams from Aristocrat’s European and South African offices will be supported on the stand by staff and products from ACE Interactive, demonstrating the TruServ server based gaming solution on both the Viridian and Indago interactive video terminal platforms. A 10-seat PokerPro electronic poker table from PokerTek will also be available on the stand for demonstration. Aristocrat is proud to hold exclusive distributor rights for this product outside of the Americas.
